What is the Growth Academy?
This is a 12-month program lead by our Compass Group Australia sales team. In this program you will remain in your substantive role BUT participate in a series of workshops, training sessions and real-world sales activities. Program participants will get to learn and experience our growth function and be developed to grow their career. Participants will be assigned a mentor for the duration of the program to help guide and assist in their development. The program’s purpose is to identify and develop our next generation of sales leaders. As an outcome of the Growth Academy, you will have the chance to become part of our CGA Sales Team with the accountability of growing our revenue and retaining our clients to support our 5 Year Plan Strategy and Purpose.
Through the program you will receive extensive training in the sales lifecycle, mentoring from our team, hands on experience working on live opportunities and exposure to senior leadership. Over a 12-month learning program, you’ll receive comprehensive training in key sales areas, including:
- DISC personality profiling
- Sales funnel
- Winning account management strategies
- Pipeline management
- Negotiation skills
- Effective presentations
- Estimating and contracts
What are some of my key accountabilities in the program?
- Learning every aspect of the sales and retention process from opportunity identification, client engagement, contract lifestyle management, developing a proposal, pitching, negotiation and contract close out
- Participating in key sales and retention activities with the growth team
- Running a project/case study
How will I know if I am successful after the program?
- You will receive feedback on your progress throughout the program and have a formal role discussion at the conclusion of the program.
- Should you be successful, you may have the opportunity to join the Growth Team in sales, retention or inside sales.
What experience do I need to apply?
There is no one pathway to be successful in sales and we will accept candidates from all areas of our business. The program is designed to train you in all the key technical elements of sales to prepare you for a future career in Growth. You do need to have a natural aptitude to be a self-starter, a strong communicator and influencer, ability to build rapport quickly to break down barriers, results driven, resilient a conceptual thinker and a hunting instinct.
