We are currently experienced Safety Leaders to work on a Full-Time basis from our Brisbane or Perth Offices with some travel to sites. The role leads a team of safety professionals aligned with Our Safety Culture by developing and maintaining a safety management system and approach across all levels of the business from team members at site to members of the Australian Leadership Team. The Position

  • Coach senior leaders in their safety behaviours and programs to drive safe operations improvement owned by operational leaders
  • Responsible for driving DeltaFM safety management system and plan improvements, implementation and monitoring of compliance.
  • Assist in the investigation of incidents to drive a rigorous approach to root cause identification and close out of corrective actions, and ensure the incident management database is maintained
  • Initiate and administer safety improvement, education and achievement/monitoring programs for workplaces within the regions
  • Support and maintain company certification to Australian and International standards in accordance with the external HSEQ audit programme.
  • Develop relationships with clients to demonstrate to them how the company’s operations and programmes effectively manage their risk and add commercial value to their operations and business strategy
  • Assist in tender preparations and presentations to customers as required including development of Management Plans
  • Stay up to date with regulatory changes and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders
  • Analyse safety performance metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement. Provide regular reporting to the business
  • Assist with selection, onboarding and management of sub-contracting companies and suppliers

The Person

  • Proven track record in leading and improving safe operations including a demonstrated capability in influencing senior leaders of the business to implement the company’s HSEQ standards and procedures
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and monitoring HSEQ programmes in a multi-service environment.
  • Degree/Diploma in relevant field and/or Certificate IV Work Health and Safety.
  • Demonstrable experience within a trades environment
  • Experience in managing inter-relationships across the company and stakeholders including sub-contractors clients and other relevant industry associations and bodies.
  • Qualifications in ICAM investigations along with root cause analysis competencies (preferred)
  • Rapidgobal subcontractor management software experience preferred
