The Position

We are currently recruiting a Team Leader for Casual and Contingent Labour recruitment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead recruitment efforts for a key part of our workforce, shaping and developing your team as you see fit.

Based in our Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne offices, you will be responsible for overseeing recruitment activities across various sectors, with a particular focus on casual and contingent labour. You will act as the operational leader for your recruitment team, providing day-to-day guidance, coaching, and support to ensure recruitment goals are met. You’ll also deliver key reporting and analytics to both operational teams and HR leadership.

A key focus of this role is partnering with the business to optimise workforce planning and contingent pool utilisation. You will work closely with operational leaders to understand their workforce needs, ensuring recruitment efforts align with business objectives and that contingent labour is utilised effectively. This will also include workforce modelling, where you will use data-driven insights and contingent labour trends to forecast future workforce requirements, ensuring the right people are in place when needed.

Collaborating closely with the National Recruitment Manager, you will contribute to the design and delivery of recruitment strategies, process improvements such as implementing new technologies, enhancing selection tools, sourcing strategies, and talent development programs.

The Person

To succeed in this role, you will need strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset. Key requirements include:

  • Proven recruitment leadership experience, ideally in managing casual and contingent labour
  • Expertise in workforce planning and contingent pool utilisation
  • Experience in building talent pools and applying workforce modelling based on labour trends
  • Ability to design and execute recruitment campaigns and strategies that align with business needs
  • Strong relationship-building and client management skills
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and partner with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills to prioritise and manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment
