Collaborate within a dedicated team in a unique environment as a Chef at the Australian Defence Force Academy (ACT) This role is suitable for candidates that enjoy bulk cooking with a passion for quality, flavour, and presentation. You’ll get full training and support while working in a dynamic and fun working environment.
The Position:
- Part time position
- Prepare high quality buffet style bulk cooking for a variety of service times including breakfast, lunch or dinner, desserts, and functions.
- Maintain all catering controls, OH&S compliance, and HACCP with a strong focus on waste reduction.
- Support kitchen efficiency with goods receiving stores and cold room controls.
- Drive exceptional service when interacting with our customers.
The Person:
- Certificate 3 in commercial cookery
- Displayed experience in large commercial kitchens.
- Licence and transport to access site.
- Good understanding of HACCP, allergen management and food safety
- Passion for quality, fantastic presentation, and detail focused
- Plan for success individually and to meet organisational goals
