Our Delta team at the Queensland Children's Hospital are currently looking for a Carpenter to join their team on an 18 month contract, with retention bonus upon completion, and potential to extend. 

The Position

• Fault finding, reactive maintenance and assisting other trades with a range of carpentry & handyman tasks
• Actively manage and meet response times, rectification times and deadlines
• Prioritise and attend to urgent requests
• Provide mobile device work orders, updates and time estimates, including risk assessments.
• Conduct maintenance tasks including inspection, classification, repairs and planned works

The Person

• QLD Carpentry and/or Building Trade Qualification essential
• Must be available for a rotating (between the hours of 6am-6pm) and participate in the after hours on call roster
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Well versed in all maintenance process and workplace health and safety regulations.
• Proven track record in maintenance, ideally within a healthcare environment
• Ability to supply their own personal hand tools 
• Knowledge of QFM would be advantageous
• Current driver’s license

In line with the required legislation, a valid and current National Police check (within 3 months), and other immunisations will be required as part of the standard recruitment and selection process for this position.
