Collaborate within a dedicated team in a unique environment as a Chef in Central Sydney Defence Sites. This role is suitable for candidates that enjoy bulk cooking with a passion for quality, flavour, and presentation. You’ll get full training and support while working in a dynamic and fun working environment.
The Position:
- Casual position, Monday to Friday, 6:30am – 2:30pm.
- Prepare high-quality, buffet-style meals for various service times, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts, and events.
- Ensure catering standards, OH&S compliance, and HACCP, with a strong focus on minimising waste.
- Support kitchen operations by managing goods, receiving stores, and cold room controls
- Deliver outstanding customer service during interactions.
The Person:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
- Proven experience in large commercial kitchens.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, allergen management, and food safety.
- Passionate about quality, with a focus on presentation and attention to detail.
- Goal-oriented, committed to personal and organizational success.
