The Role

As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective business relationships with clients and exceptional delivery of business outcomes.  As an experienced entrepreneur, your emphasis will be on creating amazing customer experiences in conjunction with running a profitable commercial operation. The ability to coach teams and management support to the unit managers to deliver amazing service, reach targets, maintain a safe operation and enable attraction of the best talent in the industry. Create an environment in which customers can experience the entirety of the Restaurant associates experience is conducive to success in this position.

The Duties

  • Providing leadership to the onsite teams across the Restaurant Associates; Retail, Venues, Restaurant and catering services
  • Develop, implement, lead and monitor retail sales and marketing strategies
  • Effectively manage the cost of goods and services and upholding targets whilst maintaining knowledge of legal and business compliance requirements
  • Building and leveraging effective stakeholder relationships to achieve business objectives
  • Fostering a high-performance culture through continuous improvement and innovation
  • Driving operational efficiency that maximises financial results through conversion of business strategy to operational models
  • Effectively oversee multiple sites/operations to ensure that they're performing to the highest standard including performance within budgets, management of safety outcomes and improved employee capability and engagement
  • Actively manage and empower team members by providing them with the correct amount of support and development to optimise performance, deliver annual budget and facilitate growth
  • Achieving client satisfaction and contract retention goals through maintaining and improving existing relationships with key customers
  • Firmly making your mark on the business; creating an inclusive, imaginative and inspiring environment which both employees and customers alike will benefit from

The Person

  • Business or degree qualifications or relevant industry experience essential
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Strong and effective leadership skills; the ability to support, motivate, effectively manage and communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds is essential
  • Highly developed commercial skills with experience managing complex contracts and/or P&Ls
  • Demonstrable experience in an operational management role with a minimum of four years’ experience where you have held accountability for breadth of functions across the organisation (preferably services, hospitality or retail industry)
  • Is uncompromising in the pursuit of high levels of customer satisfaction to deliver a 5 star experience every time
  • Can inspire and lead others to develop a quality branded operation
  • Is a positive, supportive, ambitious leader with experience of carrying out personal development plans, staff training sessions and appraisals 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills well suited to building business relationships with existing and potential clients at a senior executive level
  • Ability to research key target markets and new opportunities, reporting and decision-making skills with a results-driven focus
  • Working knowledge of workplace regulations, including award and agreement requirements
  • Strong financial and analytical skills in developing budgets and allocating appropriate resources to ensure a sustainable & profitable business
  • Experienced in managing multiple stakeholder relationships and project deadlines with competing priorities and limited resources
  • Confident in presenting solutions and continuous improvement initiatives to client representatives
