DeltaFM is seeking an experienced Warehouse/Store Operation Manager with strong knowledge of hardware, building materials and maintenance supplies to oversee our contract-wide warehouse operation. Working closely with Maintenance Managers and site-based trades teams, this role is responsible for inventory management, procurement, supplier engagement and materials planning to ensure critical maintenance activities are supported across multiple regional locations. This position will suit someone with a trade, construction, hardware, maintenance or building supplies background who understands the practical application of materials in an operational environment.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has progressed from a trade or maintenance environment into leadership and understands the importance of inventory management in supporting operational reliability and service delivery.
THE POSITION
- Manage the supply, procurement and inventory of hardware, building materials, consumables, maintenance supplies and critical spare parts across multiple sites.
- Partner with Maintenance Managers and trades personnel to identify material requirements and support planned and reactive maintenance activities.
- Ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained through forecasting, stock analysis, auditing and replenishment activities.
- Source and procure maintenance materials, construction products, special-order items and project-related goods from approved suppliers.
- Develop strong supplier relationships and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet operational demands.
- Lead warehouse teams across multiple locations, promoting safety, accountability and operational excellence.
- Monitor warehouse performance and inventory trends through reporting, analytics and Warehouse Management Systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on stock availability, cost control and inventory accuracy.
THE PERSON
- Strong knowledge of general hardware, building materials, maintenance consumables, tools and industrial products.
- Experience in hardware retail, trade supplies, building products, maintenance services, facilities management, construction or industrial environments.
- Trade qualification or hands-on maintenance/building industry experience highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience managing inventory, stores, warehousing, procurement or materials management functions.
- Ability to identify and source a wide range of maintenance, repair and building-related materials.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively with trades personnel, suppliers, contractors and clients.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook, with the ability to manage reporting, purchasing activities and communication across multiple stakeholders.
- Experience with inventory management, ERP or Warehouse Management Systems, with PRONTO experience highly regarded.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance material availability with inventory and procurement costs.
- Current driver's licence and ability to meet site compliance requirements.
