You will prepare, cook, and serve good quality food for our residents, ensuring that all tasks associated with food production, including preparing, cooking and presenting food are performed with due regard for Food Safety regulations and adherence to Our Safety Culture behaviours.
THE POSITION:
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes to high standards, considering dietary requirements and guest preferences
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, following Compass Group Australia food safety protocols, including knowledge of HACCP principles.
- A strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and flavour combinations is essential
- Proven track record working in high-volume kitchens, preferably in upscale restaurants, village kitchens or hotels
THE PERSON:
- A minimum of Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or a Trade Certificate
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, ideally in remote site kitchens
- Have a meticulous attention to detail to ensure dishes are prepared to the highest standards, following recipe plating guidelines accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and culinary techniques in high-volume catering, including bulk catering and function/banquet experience
