The Position:
Join our team as an Associate Business Partner focused on 28 Villages within the Living and Working Service sector! In this dynamic role, you'll provide crucial commercial support to Senior Operations and financial leadership teams, assisting Senior Business Partners in leading and developing our commercial teams. Your responsibilities will include end-of-month accounting for an allocated portfolio, ensuring contractual compliance, and conducting in-depth financial analysis. You'll also play a vital role in promoting our Safety Culture framework. The Role:
- Preparation and analysis of P&L statements, along with monthly reports that highlight key findings for both internal and external stakeholders
- Develop revenue, expenditure, and capital investment plans, builds consensus for budgets and forecasts, and analyse strategic and operational plans
- Support retention and bid modelling by assisting sites in developing business cases, providing historical benchmarking data, reviewing commercial terms, and participating in operational reviews
- Stocktake reconciliation
- Accurate & Timely Month End Closing Processes
- Client reporting and billing
- Provide comprehensive support to operational managers on financial and commercial matters, ensuring accurate and efficient contractual information as a key contact for clients on all commercial issues
- Month end reconciliations
- Adhere to health, safety and security procedures
- Preparation of detailed Budgets and Forecasts
- Contract Compliance
- Liaise with and support Internal and External stakeholders
- Prepare Contract Price Escalations and Contractual Variations
- Identifying and communicate opportunities for improvement & process streamlining
The Person:
- Accounting/Finance degree (ideally CA/CPA qualified)
- Minimum 3 years previous experience within a business environment
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Ability to problem solve, prioritise and multi-task
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to comfortably communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Positive 'can-do' attitude, who can work autonomously in a team environment
- Dedicated, passionate and committed to progressing the performance of the portfolio
- Ability to "stand in" for Senior Business Partner when required and have the ability to motivate and support the team in their absence
