THE POSITION

Mobilisation Phase:

  • Assist with workforce transition, recruitment, and onboarding.
  • Support the development and delivery of training programs.
  • Help create position descriptions and communication strategies for transitioning employees.
  • Collaborate with People Support to implement record management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety processes and culture.
  • Manage logistics for interviews, training, and onboarding.

Operational Phase:

  • Handle investigations, complaints, and ensure policy adherence.
  • Coach and mentor managers on performance management and HR processes.
  • Act as the first point of contact for Union inquiries.
  • Oversee performance reviews, training administration, and audit compliance.
  • Support recruitment for talent attraction strategies and maintain staff pipelines.
  • Provide HR support, resolve employee queries, and lead safety initiatives.
  • Manage workers' comp claims and HR-related systems (PageUp, Deputy, CHESS).

THE PERSON

  • Minimum of 5 years' generalist HR experience, ideally in blue-collar or healthcare environments.
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven experience coaching and mentoring managers.
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related field are highly desirable.
  • Willingness to obtain a National Police Check Clearance and provide proof of immunity for vaccine preventable diseases.

Experience within a healthcare environment is highly desirable.
