ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.

We are seeking for talented chefs and cooks who will uplift our culinary offerings in our Tanami Villages (Twin Hills, DBS, Oberon) in Northern Territory. If you are keen to create scrumptious dishes in a unique environment, this role is for you!

The Position

• Prepare and cook a range of dishes to high standards, considering dietary requirements and guest preferences.
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, following food safety and hygiene protocols.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service during peak hours.
• Adapt to different environments and kitchens while consistently delivering exceptional culinary experiences.

The Person

• Must have a certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Trade Certificate

• Have creative flair and passion for experimenting with flavours and ingredients
• Experience in fast-paced environments, ideally in remote site kitchens
• Knowledge of food safety standards and culinary techniques
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening and national police clearance
