The Role
As Head of Procurement, you will lead a team overseeing procurement strategies and ensuring supplier performance within the food, beverage, retail, and preferred manufacturer categories. You will collaborate closely with our leadership team to enhance processes, drive continuous improvement, and build resilient, agile supply chains that meet our business needs.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to;
- Leading and coaching the procurement team, promoting best practices across supplier management, quality control, and operational excellence
- Driving financial targets, purchasing income, and working capital commitments
- Managing key supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with KPIs and fostering innovation
- Collaborating with internal teams to meet client needs and deliver exceptional service
- Overseeing strategic sourcing initiatives, ensuring alignment with governance frameworks and legal compliance
- Delivering continuous improvements in sourcing and category management as part of a broader procurement transformation project
The Person
- Proven relevant procurement experience, with a strong focus on food and beverage supply chain management
- Tertiary qualification in Economics/Business/Commerce (CIPS, IFPSM, or AAPCM certification preferred)
- Proven success in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and cost reduction
- Advanced negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
- Experience driving change management and building partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups
- Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and deliver commercial outcomes through complex deal negotiations
