THE POSITION

Working closely with Safety and Operational Leaders, external vendors and the broader Safety teams, the Safety Coordinator – Projects, Systems and Reporting role will be responsible for providing critical support to the Compass Group Australia Safety and Quality function through the following:

  • System administrator duties of the company incident management system including updating user security settings, facilitating and testing system enhancements, providing system support and training
  • Review and update associated company documentation including training packages and company Standards as relevant
  • Work directly with IT to update the company incident management system and the IT Active Directory ensuring correct system access
  • Support National Safety Leaders, guiding through system queries
  • Update incorrectly entered data
  • Attend and facilitate meetings with relevant internal and external Stakeholders, providing support as required
  • Develop and update scheduled reports for the system to generate and send to end users as required
  • Provide general safety administration support as required
  • Review, analyse and reconcile data to collate and produce required company periodical and ad hoc safety reports in an accurate and timely manner
  • Facilitate and support safety systems and reporting continuous improvement strategies as required including:
    • Working with the Data Analytics teams to build the DataMart
    • Data Validation from raw excel spreadsheets and Tableau dashboards
    • Developing Tableau dashboards, and
    • Project planning and implementation, providing updates on progress to Management as required

THE PERSON

  • Demonstrated experience in an administration role, particularly with the handling and manipulation of data
  • Working towards or recently obtained Certificate IV in WHS/TAE (or equivalent) 
  • Ability to engage, influence and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent time management, communication and organisational skills with great attention to detail
  • Team player and ability to work autonomously
  • High level of computer literacy and experience in the use of Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint) with particular skills in data management, analysis and creating formulas in Excel
  • Knowledge of web-based software applications and good understanding of digital technology
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience with INX, Tableau and/or dashboarding would be highly regarded
