THE POSITION

We are currently looking for Casual Catering Assistant to come on board at Vasey RSL Care in Frankton.  

This position is a multi-faceted position and requires a hands-on approach to the food service delivery in the kitchen, wards, and various patient areas including snack and beverage stations as well as cleaning duties through the facilities, whilst ensuring company food safety standards and safety procedures are adhered to. You will be required to assist in the kitchen with dishwashing, cleaning, food preparation, and other duties as required. A sound knowledge of allergens, therapeutic diets and infection control procedures is highly desirable. 

Shifts may fall any day from Monday through Sunday, all shifts are AM or PM shifts, there are no Night Duty shifts.

THE PERSON

  • Previous experience within a Food and Beverage role - within Aged Care is advantageous
  • Personable, a team player who has exceptional communication skills
  • A sound knowledge in compliance driven catering techniques
  • A kind and caring nature

In line with the required Legislation, a Valid and Current Police Check and flu vaccination will be required as part of the standard recruitment and selection process for this position.
