Compass Group Australia will deliver essential support services at the new Footscray Hospital, one of Victoria’s largest health infrastructure projects. We will provide vital services, including patient services, environmental services, food, security, help desk, and more. As a public hospital with clinical services provided by Western Health, this state-of-the-art facility will play a key role in supporting the community—be part of something bigger and help shape the future of healthcare in Victoria.

THE POSITION

• Collect, sort, and dispose of general, clinical, and hazardous waste.
• Ensure waste is handled and transported safely following hospital protocols.
• Adhere to strict infection control and environmental regulations.
• Monitor waste levels and report any issues or shortages.

THE PERSON

• Comfortable with a hands-on role that involves lifting and moving waste bins.
• Works well with hospital staff and fellow waste management personnel.
• Adheres to strict guidelines for handling medical and hazardous waste.
• Supports recycling and sustainability initiatives.
• Must have or be able to obtain a National Police Clearance.
