$ 27.71 p/h base rate + 25% casual loading + penalties + superannuation.

  • Fly-In/Out of Darwin OR Cairns.
  • Earn great money while working with an amazing team.
  • Typically, 7/7 roster working 12-hour days.

ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines, and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.

The Position:

  • You will prepare, cook, and serve meals across breakfast, lunch, and dinner for residents and guests.
  • Provide exceptional service when interacting with our staff, residents, and guests.
  • Maintain food safety standards in line with company policies.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to create “specials” outside the regular menu cycle.
  • Manage the expectations of both clients and diners.

The Person

  • Experience working in a high volume, buffet-style kitchen.
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Trade Certificate.
  • Passion for providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to follow safe food handling procedures.
  • Ability to maintain professional standards in a high-pressure kitchen.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical with drug and alcohol screening and national police clearance.
  • Driving licence preferred.
