The Position:

• Full-time position, Monday to Friday, with limited weekend and night shifts
• Hands-on role for an organised Executive Chef, leading your team to deliver premium daily mess meals and events
• Maintain catering and stock controls, ensuring OH&S and HACCP compliance with a strong focus on waste reduction
• Manage food forecasting, ordering and stock control processes
• Champion food safety and quality, with attention to allergens and dietary requirements
• Apply a high-level understanding of Defence operations, with a focus on both operational and financial performance

The Person:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (minimum)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Head Chef in similar high-volume or structured environments
• Confident people manager with experience in training, development, and team engagement
• Expert knowledge of HACCP, allergen protocols, and food safety practices
• Strong organisational skills, able to lead autonomously, take initiative, and remain calm under pressure
