Compass Group Australia will deliver essential support services at the Peninsula University Hospital, one of Victoria’s largest health infrastructure projects. We will provide vital services, including, cleaning and waste services, security, grounds and gardens and more. As a public hospital with clinical services provided by Peninsula Health, this facility will play a key role in supporting the community—be part of something bigger and help shape the future of healthcare in Victoria.

THE POSITION

  • Support the mobilisation team in roster planning, scenario testing, recruitment and team building during the lead up to fully going live in mid-January.
  • Supervise and complete clinical cleaning of the facility prior to operations.
  • Lead and supervise cleaning and waste teams across daily scheduled, periodic and unscheduled cleaning tasks.
  • Allocate tasks and manage rosters to ensure service coverage.
  • Conduct regular audits to maintain high hygiene standards.
  • Support infection control procedures and specialised cleaning in high-risk areas.
  • Train, mentor, and onboard new and existing staff.
  • Confidently utilise the iClean application and internal ICT systems to log, update, monitor and audit job requests generate reports for senior management.

THE PERSON

  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a cleaning supervisory role within in Hospital environment.
  • Ability to supervise, coordinate, train and motivate a diverse cleaning and waste team.
  • Experience in coordinating resources during operations to respond to unscheduled requests and daily operations.
  • Competent in managing inventory and waste reduction practices.
  • Experienced in using cleaning machinery such as scrubbers and buffers.
  • Experienced in using computerised systems for scheduling, tracking, reporting unscheduled and scheduled cleaning and waste tasks.
  • Holds or is willing to obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
