ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organizations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.
At Compass Group Australia we are committed to every employee being trained and on boarded in the correct manner. As part of this commitment, we are seeking expressions of interest for a Training Coordinator to assist in delivering training programs across our remote portfolios in Moranbah and surrounds at our purpose-built training academy.
Roster is 9 days on, 5 days off, working 10 hour days.
Locals are encouraged to apply on a drive-in, drive-out basis or can facilitate fly-in, fly-out ex Brisbane with flights, accommodation and meals provided.
The Position
This role plays a key part in delivering training activities that align with Compass Group’s Health, Safety and Food Safety standards. The Training Coordinator will ensure all training-related tasks are completed safely, effectively, and in accordance with ESS requirements.
- Coach, mentor, and support team members by demonstrating safe and effective work practices
- Maintain strong customer satisfaction by ensuring teams adhere to client service standards
- Oversee training operations and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date training matrixes
- Prepare management reports and insights based on training data
- Adhere to and promote Compass Group Health, Safety & Security procedures
The Person
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage at all organisational levels
- Experience in Hospitality Management/Supervison
- Front of house hospitality professional with minimum 3 year’s experience
- Demonstrated experience in training, coaching or people development
- Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional approach
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (highly regarded but not essential)
- Certificates in WHS and Hospitality (highly regarded but not essential)
- Current RSA and First Aid/CPR certification
- Ability to provide National Police Clearance
- Ability to pass medical
