Step into an extraordinary leadership role as Site Manager at the iconic Werribee Open Range Zoo, where hospitality meets the wild. You will take full ownership of day-to-day catering operations, seamlessly manage high-volume retail food outlets and unforgettable functions while leading a passionate team to operational excellence.
The Position
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience to all employees and guests
- Oversee a focused team of service professionals across culinary, beverage, and function offerings
- Take accountability for innovation and provide solutions for continued food, beverage, and service growth
- Prioritise staff mentoring to effectively train, motivate, and develop the next generation
- Implement strategic succession planning to ensure long-term team capability and growth
The Person
- Passionate and impeccably groomed senior hospitality leader with proven experience managing high-volume operations, fine dining, and diverse teams
- Expert in food and wine matching, current industry trends, and delivering exceptional customer experiences for high-end clientele
- Strong operational manager skilled in rostering, stock control, cost management, compliance, HACCP, and driving P&L performance
- Adept at stakeholder management, communication, and catering for both retail food services and large-scale functions or events
- Thrives in fast-paced environments with a hands-on leadership style and full flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasons
