ESS Defence provides food service and hospitality support to Defence sites across Australia. We deliver high quality meals and service that support the wellbeing of Australian Defence Force personnel.

We are seeking a Food & Beverage Attendant / Kitchenhand to join our team at Kokoda Barracks, Canungra. This role is ideal for candidates looking for variety across customer service, food service and kitchen operations within a supportive and structured environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with food preparation, meal service and cleaning duties
• Deliver friendly and professional customer service
• Support dining room and kitchen operations
• Assist with dishwashing and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards
• Keep work areas clean, organised and safe

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience in hospitality, food service, kitchen or customer service preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable with flexible availability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, structured environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check and Defence clearance
