The Opportunity
Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Buyers Associate to join our Foodbuy team on a full-time basis. This role will see you assisting the protein team to deliver to the category strategy, meet and exceed business target & goals and deliver ongoing innovation to our clients. The key benefit of this is to provide administration and analytical skills to the Procurement team and our internal and external customers.
Reporting into the Category Manager you are a commercially savvy team player who thrives in the complexity of a large process driven company, can work autonomously and who can maintain and develop successful relationships with numerous stakeholders geographically dispersed.
A Day in the Life
- Assist in data gathering and spend analysis to support category management and strategic sourcing activities
- Assist with sourcing new supplier opportunities for our Foodbuy categories
- Provide overall administrative and project support to our non-food portfolios
- Coordinate the new supplier onboarding processes and programs in accordance with CGA and supply chain policies
- Support and help organise the 'Preferred Supplier' Program
- Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders with a focus on continuous improvement and creation of added value and innovation
- Support the Client Service Team in resolving Supplier Performance related issues by reviewing root-cause and implement corrective actions where appropriate
- Manage Pricing Catalogue process
- Maintain up to date system data to ensure 100% accuracy
- Complete end to end MyService tasks (ticketing requests)
- Ensure all category communications are cascaded to the business on time and in full.
- Manage all bespoke sourcing requirements (end to end) throughout the year to support projects including Christmas, Easter, NAIDOC & Reconciliation week
What You’ll Bring
- You hold or are working towards relevant Procurement tertiary qualifications e.g. CIPS, IFPSM or AAPCM
- Must be analytical and a problem solver who thrives on research
- Must have experience to Supply Chain management, ideally within Procurement or Buying/Sourcing
- Advanced MS Office skills - Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Good communication skills – both written and verbal
- Able to establish and maintain positive relationships with business stakeholders
