Business Associate - Commercial | Sydney

We're looking for a Business Associate Commercial to partner with operational and finance leaders across our growing Business & Industry sector. This is a highly visible role where you'll provide commercial insights, financial leadership and strategic support that directly influences business performance.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Commercial Business Partner, you'll act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, helping drive profitability, improve performance and support key commercial decisions across a complex national portfolio.

You'll be responsible for:

• Delivering accurate month-end, forecasting and budgeting outcomes
• Providing financial analysis, reporting and performance insights to operational leaders
• Building commercial models to support new business opportunities, tenders and contract variations
• Managing pricing escalations, governance requirements and contract compliance
• Partnering with Operations, FP&A, Supply Chain, Business Development and Legal teams
• Developing presentations and insights for senior leadership decision-making
• Supporting and mentoring members of the commercial team to build capability and performance

About You

You are commercially minded, analytically strong and confident working with senior stakeholders. You enjoy turning data into actionable insights and thrive in a fast-paced environment where your work directly impacts business outcomes.

You'll bring:

• Degree qualifications in Commerce, Finance or Accounting
• 5+ years' experience in a commercial, finance or business partnering role
• Strong financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting capability
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience influencing senior operational leaders through data-driven insights
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

Highly regarded:

• CA or CPA qualification
• Oracle Accounting or SAP experience
• Experience supporting large, multi-site or volume service-based operations
