ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.

We are seeking experienced Operations Support Officers to provide high-quality commercial, operational, governance, and administrative support across our LWS East Remote Sector. This is a diverse and fast-paced role that partners closely with Area Managers and Site Leaders to drive operational efficiency, support business performance, and ensure the effective delivery of key processes and initiatives.

The role incorporates two key focus areas:

  • Commercial Support Coordination – providing commercial administration, reporting, data analysis, billing support, financial process coordination, and performance tracking across allocated portfolios.
  • Operations Support Coordination – delivering contract administration, governance support, systems coordination, onboarding, training support, communications, and operational project assistance across allocated portfolios.

As a key member of the team, you will coordinate reporting, monitor action plans, support site leaders, maintain governance processes, and facilitate effective communication across multiple stakeholders. You will play an important role in ensuring operational activities are completed accurately, on time, and in line with business objectives.

We have two full-time opportunities (38 hours per week, Monday to Friday) available:

  • 1 x Permanent Full-Time Operations Support Officer
  • 1 x Fixed-Term Full-Time Operations Support Officer (12-month contract)

A hybrid working arrangement is available upon successful completion of training.

The Position

  • Support profit and loss (P&L) processes, including scheduling, review preparation, action tracking, and follow-up.
  • Manage billing administration across S&C, Asset Billing and Converga platforms, including query resolution, PAP processing, and held invoice follow-up.
  • Conduct Anaplan and dashboard input checks, identify exceptions, escalate issues, and support dashboard reliability.
  • Monitor Revenue Rally performance and drive follow-up actions for low-performing sites.
  • Provide commercial support and training to Site Leaders to improve operational and financial performance.
  • Coordinate QBD processes, monthly reporting, client reporting requirements, and SharePoint administration.
  • Review Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback, track RFV actions, and maintain governance packs and action registers.
  • Monitor and follow up site visit actions, ensuring timely completion and escalating overdue items where required.
  • Provide deputy support, triage MYOB queries, and coordinate MyService onboarding, system access, and device requirements.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities, including welcome communications, onboarding schedules, training completion tracking, and manager resources.
  • Support portfolio-wide communications, toolbox talks, campaign rollouts, mobilisation and demobilisation activities, and MatchFit initiatives.
  • Partner with Central Area Managers and operational leaders to improve compliance, reporting, communication, and business performance outcomes.

The Person

  • 2 to 3 years' experience in workforce scheduling, staff rostering, operational coordination, or a similar role.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or multidisciplinary operational teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong proficiency in business systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to follow through on tasks and commitments.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Proven ability to prioritise competing demands, manage workloads effectively, and collaborate across teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet weekly, monthly, and period-end deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Confidence in delivering practical training, guidance, and support to Site Leaders and operational teams.

You will have the support, infrastructure, systems and processes you would expect from a global organisation. As an employer of choice, we recognise high performance and foster individual development. Additionally, our employees enjoy the following benefits:
