Are you an experienced Chef ready to take the next step in your career?

We are seeking a motivated Chef Supervisor to join our team at HMAS Albatross, Nowra. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for a confident Chef who enjoys leading teams, delivering quality food and maintaining high operational standards while remaining actively involved in daily kitchen operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and support the kitchen team across daily meal services and functions
• Prepare and oversee high-quality meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner
• Manage food production, presentation and portion control standards
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, HACCP and allergen compliance
• Support menu execution, forecasting, ordering and stock control
• Monitor food waste and support efficient kitchen operations
• Train, coach and develop kitchen team members
• Foster a positive, collaborative and safety-focused kitchen culture

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Previous experience in a Chef Supervisor, senior Chef or kitchen leadership role
• Experience in commercial kitchens, bulk catering or high-volume food production
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety and allergen management
• Confident leadership skills with the ability to train and develop team members
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Reliable, professional and team-focused approach
• Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check and Defence clearance
