Compass is seeking to employ Chef Managers, interested in a hybrid Chef and Site Management positions at a rural NSW site, which is an extension of Compass Group's operations. Working in a small team environment, you'll have oversight of the site's operations, whilst also being hands on preparing food for guests. 

The role is available with FIFO from Sydney, or DIDO as well if local to Cobar region. You'll work a roster of 8 days on, 6 days off, with salary on offer of up to $125,000 + Superannuation. All meals and accommodation provided whilst on-site.

The Position:

As part of our small site team, you will:

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations, accommodation and village services.
  • Prepare, cook and serve quality meals in accordance with menu plans and dietary requirements.
  • Maintain food safety, hygiene and HACCP compliance standards.
  • Monitor budgets, costs and inventory requirements.
  • Maintain strong safety culture in compliance with all HSEQ policies and procedures.
  • Maintain strong relationships with client and on-site teams.

The Person:

Successful applicants will demonstrate:

  • Ability to lead and develop a small team environment, with remote industry experience preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong experience in food safety, HACCP compliance, stock control, ordering and inventory management.
  • Experience in commercial management including Budgets, P&L etc.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Must hold an Australian Trade Certificate in Cookery (Cert 3 or 4 Commercial Cookery)
  • Must be able to provide work rights
  • Must provide valid photo identification
  • Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment and drug screening
